Superconducting Storage devices

Niobuim-Titanate Energy storage rings have WMD potential. A washing machine sized device with a very large energy pulse introduced into the ring could easily devastate a square mile or more. If the liquid heluim is released very quickly the amount of energy released would be tremendous, in a very short period of time. Lower energy density ceramic superconductors probably do not have this capability because of much lower current densities , and higher magnetic flux pinning in crystal defects.
