Trump’s mistake was running for president. He could have lived out his life of fraud and corruption and epic venality in relative obscurity. And absolutely nobody would have given two shits about him or his life of white collar criminality.

Republicans passed a ~$2 trillion tax cut for the rich and added $7 trillion to the national debt under Trump. And we're supposed to believe they're risking a shutdown because they care about "fiscal responsibility"? It's all just a game to them.

13 years ago the Supreme Court decided corporations are people under the First Amendment. Today, sold-out politicians block progress on all fronts to appease their corporate donors. Citizens United is among the worst decisions in history. It corrupts our system every day.
