Are the assassination attempts on Trump just for attention?

I strongly condemn any form of violence, and even though I wouldn't support Trump myself (I'm not from the US) I find it horrible what could've happened.

Still a question lingers in my head: The first shooting seemed to be an actual attempt in killing Trump. The shot was too close to his head to be staged. However it did bring a lot of attention to him. And this made me wonder if the second incident was just staged by either Trump or his supporters, since no one got harmed.

I don't have any evidence and was just wondering about the idea. Would love to hear some arguments for or against it, or what you think about it.
