Senator Confirms: Bush Used False Terror Threat to Ram New Spy Legislation

Senator Harmon alleged that the administration knowingly hyped a false threat of terrorism against the nation's capitol to effectively terrorize Senators into passing broad and unchecked spy powers. The moment the bill passed, the "threat" was discredited. Just curious: does conspiracy to defraud and terrorize Congress count as treason anymore?
