Mr. Bernanke, proud of the way that the Fed has worked in conjunction with Congress and the President to devalue the dollar, now wants the power to oversee the entire financial sector. Mr. Bernanke thinks that he can save the economy by propping up each unstable institution and he wants the power to do that.
