The New York Times reports this evening that foreign banks, especially UBS, have successfully lobbied to be part of the bailout. Sen. Phil Gramm, McCain's economic adviser and likely Treasury Secretary pick, is both vice chairman of UBS's US division and a lobbyist for UBS.
