Ron DeSantis overreached. He's Governor of Florida. These migrants were not in Florida. He used money not earmarked for anything close to this. He used deception - dehumanizing the vulnerable. Maybe ok with his most ardent base, but not with anyone else, and won't be OK with DOJ.
Judge Cannon just proved how dangerous the Trump/McConnell degradation of the federal judiciary is. She actually said she doesn’t accept that the documents bearing classified markings are classified documents. Echoes of Trump: “many people are saying they’re NOT classified.”
REMEMBER: DoJ was only looking for documents with "classification markings". It's irrelevant whether donald thinks he declassified them, and DoJ explained that to this judge like she was 9 - which I guess was too high of a reading level for her.
