The US economy lost jobs last month for the first time in four years in a dramatic reversal that raises the risks growth will be wiped out and that the downturn in the housing market will cause a recession.The surprise drop in jobs made it more likely the Federal Reserve would cut interest rates aggressively to try to prevent growth stalling.
