What gives me chills isn’t the fact that the CIA & Pentagon planned to stage a fake event to justify a war in Cuba. They do that sort of stuff on the regular. The wildest part is #11 in the declassified document which reads:

What would the mock funerals look like? Who would they involve? Would it be CIA people, actors, or what? Kinda creepy to think about
A similar problem is created with their brilliant plan, outlined in the same document, to shoot down a drone plane disguised as a civilian airliner. The only issue with that (aside from being criminal on every level) is that they’d have to invent backstories for all the people on board who died. And again, probably stage fake funerals
