Why Do People Think He’s a Genius When He Can’t Even Answer Basic Engineering Questions?

I listened to a Twitter Space from 2022, where Musk was talking to actual engineers, and it was honestly embarrassing. They were laughing at him because he was saying complete nonsense, and when they asked him real technical questions, he either dodged them or gave incoherent answers.

Yet, people still worship this guy like he’s some kind of engineering mastermind who personally built Tesla (which, by the way, he didn’t even found). So how did this myth of Musk the genius inventor get so big? Is it just good marketing, or is there something deeper at play?
