US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice faced an inquisition by lawmakers Thursday over claims that Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki was shielding top ministers from corruption probes. Rice argued against the 'unsubstantiated' 'assault' on the prime minister, saying any such attacks are "potentially damaging" and "deeply wrong."
