World leaders at the G20 summit in London have announced they are to triple the finances of the IMF to help fight the worst economic crisis since the 1930s and will impose new curbs on financial markets. In a closing speech at the meeting, Gordon Brown also pledged enhanced supervision for large hedge funds and a crackdown on tax havens.
