General Motors is offering buyouts to virtually all of its remaining hourly workers. Chrysler made a similar offer to its hourly workers. Chrysler's package includes $50k cash & a $25k voucher to buy a car. I guess demand for autos is so low that the auto companies now have to build cars to give them away for free in order to get workers to leave.
